Now recruiting · Field Reporters

Your city. Your shows. One platform.

Keys Open Doors is building a crew of Field Reporters to cover the car culture where it lives. Pull up to your local show, shoot the builds, talk to the people behind them, and put your work and your name in front of our audience.

The role

What reporters do

Think news correspondent, but for the car culture.

01

Pull up

Hit car shows, meets, and cruise nights in your area and cover them for Keys Open Doors.

02

Shoot the builds

Walkarounds, details, your favorite cars of the day, and the moments that make the show.

03

Talk to the people

Interview a couple of owners, builders, or organizers. Their story, their car, their journey.

04

Edit and submit

Cut your piece, submit it for approval, make any changes we send back, and it goes out with your name on it.

Why report

Get your name in the culture

Get seen

Your work on Keys Open Doors channels, credited and tagged, in front of people who live this.

Build your reel

Real assignments and real feedback from the team to sharpen your shooting, editing, and interviewing.

Get in the room

Shows, builders, brands, and artists. Reporting puts you face to face with the people moving the culture.

Grow with us

As the platform grows, our reporters are first in line for what comes next. Details are shared with selected reporters.

Content guidelines

Shoot it right the first time

  • Format: vertical 9:16 at 1080 × 1920 is the main cut. A horizontal 16:9 version (1920 × 1080) is a bonus.
  • Length: 30 to 90 seconds for clips. Up to 5 minutes for a full show recap.
  • Leave room for our logo: keep the top-right corner clear of faces and text. We add the Keys Open Doors logo there.
  • Leave room for our bumpers: keep the first 2 seconds and last 3 seconds free of text. That's where our intro and outro go.
  • No watermarks or overlays: no personal watermarks, other brands' logos, or burned-in music. We add licensed music.
  • Clean audio: get close or use a clip-on mic for interviews. Shoot away from the speakers when you can.
  • Get the OK: ask everyone you interview if they're good with being on Keys Open Doors, on camera, and get their name and handle. Anyone under 18 needs a parent's OK.
  • Deliver: export MP4 in the highest quality, upload to Google Drive or Dropbox, and send the link with the form below. Include your raw clips if you can.
