01Who we are
This website, keysopendoorspodcast.com (the "Site"), is operated by Keys Open Doors Podcast LLC ("Keys Open Doors Podcast", "we", "us"), based in Miami, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
It covers this Site only. When you watch or listen to us on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts, or Spotify, those platforms' own privacy policies apply.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form (for guest bookings, sponsorships, Bass Check music submissions, event coverage, or anything else), we collect what you enter:
- Your name and email address
- The reason for your message
- Your Instagram handle, if you add one
- Any link you share, such as a track, build page, or website
- Your message
When you apply to be a Field Reporter, we also collect your phone number (optional), city and state, age range, social media handles and links, past work, the gear you shoot with, your editing experience, the shows you can cover, and your answers to our questions. When a reporter submits coverage, we collect the show details, the link to their files, and the names and handles of the people featured.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
We do not currently use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this Site, and our fonts and images are hosted on our own server. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
03How we use it
We use the information you send us to:
- Read and respond to your message
- Evaluate guest, sponsorship, event, and partnership opportunities
- Review music submitted for the Bass Check segment, and contact you about it
- Review Field Reporter applications, contact applicants, coordinate assignments, and review and publish submitted coverage
- Keep records of submissions and the permissions that come with them (see our Terms of Use)
- Protect the Site, our team, and our audience from spam, fraud, and abuse
- Comply with the law
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.
05Embedded content and links
Our latest-episode player is embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube (Google) may set cookies or collect information once you press play, under Google's Privacy Policy.
The Site links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. When you follow those links, you leave our Site, and those services' policies apply.
06How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to respond, follow up on an opportunity, or keep a record of a Bass Check submission and its permissions. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). Technical logs held by our host are kept for a limited period under Netlify's own policies.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information you've sent us, or to stop contacting you. Email info@keysopendoorspodcast.com from the address you used and tell us what you'd like. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and within any period required by the law that applies to you.
If you're a California resident or live somewhere else with privacy laws that give you specific rights, you can use the same email to exercise them. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those laws define it.
Deleting your contact details does not remove a track that has already aired in a published episode or clip. See the Bass Check section of our Terms.
08Children
The Site is for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@keysopendoorspodcast.com and we'll delete it.
09Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as financial or government ID details, through our form.
10Where information is processed
We're based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Site, you understand your information may be processed outside the country where you live.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the show and Site grow, for example when podcast platforms, analytics, or a newsletter are added. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the Site.
